Entered from a lane off the Commerce College Cross Roads, Cafe Venture Studio can take some finding but once there it is a pleasant place located facing the offices of the startup incubator established by Ahmedabad University with Stanford University – Centre for Design Research. From the entrance, the walkway goes through a green patch with trees and plants to the entrance of the cafe. The glass wall of the cafe looks out at green foliage. The decor is youthful with a rustic reddish colored walls with murals of Ahmadabad’s heritage buildings and historical Ellis bridge.

Cafe Venture Studio is a good place for a light meal. Start with their Bruschetta which has a choice of toppings on bread – Tomato, Basil and Olive Oil, Tomato, Olives, Feta and Parsley, Cream Cheese and Mushroom, or Goat Cheese with Roasted Tomatoes and Balsamic which is one of the best. This cafe is excellent for salads – the Watermelon-and-Feta is one of their classics. The sandwiches are also very good – I liked the Caprese with fresh Mozzeralla, and they also have Focaccia with Hummus and Roasted Vegetables. The all-day breakfasts like waffles and pancakes are popular. The highlight is their whole wheat pizzas which is crispy and covered with flavorful toppings.

Don’t miss their homemade ice-creams. Being a cafe, there is a very good range of beverages – the coffees are pretty good, and they also have iced teas, green teas and cool drinks. Chocolate fans could opt for their Dark Hot Chocolate – real chocolate and steamed milk.
