I went to the Indiranagar outlet of Pot-O-Noodles (the other one is in Koramangala). This is on Double Road and is a large space that opens onto the street.
Bright colors and casual style give off a pop-Japanese vibe here.

There’s a tempting list of gyoza, wontons and rolls among the appetizers. We ordered the Prawn & Mirin Gyoza — six plump dumplings, pan-grilled to give them a chewy golden exterior.
They were delightful. It was a cool evening and the idea of poached wontons in a bowl was appealing, so the Minced Pork and Ginger it was. The wontons were silken and the filling well-seasoned. They were floating in a thin, but flavourful broth, and we loved this dish. Listed under appetizers, it was hearty enough a portion to be a meal in a bowl. After the comforting warmth of gyoza and wontons we had the Chicken Thigh Karaage, the Japanese fry that uses potato starch to coat the ingredients. This dish was rather clumsily done, the coating lumpy and not light enough.
There are Ramen bowls and Donburi on the menu (both are popular orders), but we settled for one of the Curry and Sauce Bowls. It was Kikkoman-tossed Shiitake, Haricot Beans and Peppers with Teriyaki Noodles. The waiter warned us the noodles would be super sweet, so after some back-and-forth in the kitchen, we got the noodles sans the teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were plentiful and cooked just right, making for a very satisfying dish.

At the price, this is a very good choice for pan-Asian food. I wish some of the dishes had a half-portion option. If you order 3-4 dishes between two people you’ll end up with more food than you can eat.
