Vogelkop Restaurant And Cafe, Kondapur, Hyderabad: Food
The menu throws up an impressive variety of dishes to choose from their à la carte section apart from lunch and dinner buffets. As we visited the restaurant with a couple of friends, we thought of trying the buffet as well as the ala carte options. From the buffet, we opted for the pesto crumb chicken, Jamaican prawns in the non-veg section and went with the croquettes di verdure and miso baby potatoes in the veg section. Both these choices were quite appetising. The shrimp cocktail salad and cream of broccoli soup however, were a bit of a let-down, but the starters made up for it. Their à la carte menu was appealing and we opted for the grilled continental chicken. The hot grilled chicken breast was tender and cooked exactly how we like it. It wasn’t overdone and the aroma from the herbs along with the sauteed veggies rightly complemented it.
Coming back to the buffet spread, their mains has a good number of options to choose from. We opted for the herb butter rice with potato en courasa with chicken paila with chicken cacciatore and they both were tasty. It goes without saying that apart from these, they also serve pizzas and pastas. After polishing off the mains, we had just enough room for desserts and the unanimous choices were the mango mousse and coffee cremebrulee. The buffet is reasonably priced for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians and they serve sumptuous quantities that are worth the price. The service staff had a good insight into the menu and was very helpful.
