Marwar Travel Mart Jodhpur 2026: 1st Edition
Federation of Hospitality & Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) is delighted to announce that under the esteemed guidance of our Chief Patron, HH Maharaja Gaj Singh ji of Jodhpur – Marwar, the 1st Marwar Travel Mart – Jodhpur will be jointly organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of India, FHTR and JHARA, with active participation from TAAJ, IHHA, HRAR and RATO.
The primary objective of the Mart is to showcase the timeless charm, rich cultural heritage, and immense tourism potential of the Marwar – Thar region to the travel and hospitality fraternity from across India. The event aims to position the region as a leading destination for heritage tourism, destination weddings, cultural and experiential travel, desert adventures, luxury hospitality, and rural tourism. The Mart will bring together prominent tour operators, hoteliers, destination wedding planners, event curators, travel writers, bloggers, influencers, and tourism stakeholders from across the country, creating a dynamic platform for networking, business opportunities and destination promotion.
The focused nature of such regional tourism marts plays a vital role in developing and promoting sector-specific and short-duration holiday products. Contemporary travel trends indicate a growing preference among travellers for self-drive vacations and short breaks of four to five days, rather than extended state-wide itineraries. By strategically positioning the Marwar – Thar region as a complete destination in itself — offering magnificent forts and palaces, desert landscapes, vibrant arts and crafts, unique cultural traditions, luxury experiences, and authentic rural encounters — the State can effectively capitalize on this evolving travel behaviour.
About FHTR:
