Asvah means ‘state of being’ in Sanskrit, and 24 is in their address. The rather large restaurant has a total of five spaces to choose from, including a speakeasy bar. Adding an element of visual charm to the property is the shimmering blue pool surrounded by some healthy greenery. Located right beside the bay, only a narrow road separates the beach from the restaurant. As summer is almost here, a cool welcoming breeze blows away any thoughts of heat. There are ‘rooms’ you could choose from. I chose to sit at a table set up on the terrace and watch the ocean.

They plan five-course wine-pairing dinners based on your preferences. The restaurant does need advance reservations to put their best food on your table. We begin with a light Coffee and Tomato Broth that also had parmesan ice cream. Grainy and sharp, the parmesan ice cream is a first for me. Cherry tomato added its little bit of elegance. If you wait long, the arugula salad could wilt in the cold Roasted Bell Pepper starter. However, the shell retained its crispness, despite the beetroot hummus. I liked the saltiness of the feta cheese crumble on top.
The Cottage Cheese Steak was better than the Lamb Goulash Ravioli. The steak came in a spinach curry sauce. The ravioli shell itself was a little hard. Something even the goulash couldn’t help soften.
This place is known for its cocktails and desserts. Banana Cake with Almond Praline and De Leche Ice Cream has generous amounts of chocolate sauce. A winner!
