MyFresh Café serves an assortment of protein salads and fruit bowls, immunity boosting cold-pressed juices, and smoothies. Their menu also lists soups, snacks, open toasts, grilled sandwiches, stone-fired pizzas, pastas, and healthy desserts, including made-to-order, additive free fresh fruit ice creams. The cold plate and ice-cream rolls near the entrance had already caught our eye as my friend and I walked in for a quick bite the other day. The rest of our order went something like this: Quinoa Kale Tabbouleh, Jackfruit Fajitas and Orange Mascarpone Honey Toast.

Plus & Minus:

A reasonable amount of waiting time later, our orders arrived plated and presented pleasingly. Portion sizes were more than generous and service staff courteous. The salad was a tremendously tangy start to our meal, its crispy pita crackers balancing the moistness of shredded kale, cucumber, tomato, parsley, and quinoa most nicely. The fajita was absolutely delightful; filled with smoky pulled jackfruit, peppers, kidney beans, corn, and caramelized onions, with a side of guac and salsa. The open sourdough toast slathered with mascarpone and doused in honey was soggy by the time we got to it; to be fair, the service staff had suggested we order later as dessert, but we’d marched on. I’m better informed for next visit, I suppose, as there are likely to be many more. Of the two rolled ice creams we tried, I much preferred the mango over the mixed fruit.
